come on…. admit it. You’ve all got the wall plaques (probably presented at your leaving pish up), and no doubt you’ve all got some borrowed combat clobber stashed away upstairs in a cupboard or the attic. Then there’s the boots, this will probably be your favourite most comfortable, well worn in, pair… and then there will be the shiny toe’d, keep for parade, ammo boots. And I bet there will be loads of you that “FORGOT” to return a few items of kit back to the stores, and its now keeping the rest of your gear company in your SHTF bag.
BUT…. WHAT YOU REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT….
IS AN SLR AND A FEW THOUSAND ROUNDS OF 7.62mm AMMO.
Put that little cracker up on the wall, and the next time the whippersnapper dipshit from the council comes round to question your rights to have a flag-pole in your back garden…. you just invite him in and make sure he gets a good look at it. Even let him feel the weight of one of those rounds. Yep… he’ll be signing off the papers and trotting away down the road, back to his cosy cubby-hole office ‘Toot Sweet’. Or if you speak froggish… ‘Toot de Suite’
